L’Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, 87, has been giving rather generously in her old age. She has apparently doled out £90m to L’Oreal’s chairman and former chief exec, Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones and another £910m to a French society photographer, Francois-Marie Banier, 62. The former increased revenues at L’Oreal to £15bn a year under his tenure, a fine performance; the latter must be damned good with a camera.
Her daughter, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, 56, accuses her of frittering away the family fortune …

The mugshot below left actually enabled Bolivian police to track down a man wanted for a murder in which a taxi driver was stabbed 11 times and his body later burnt. The picture of the suspect was drawn by the taxi driver’s neighbour. Adding to the weirdness; upon the suspect’s capture, images were released of him with his face covered by the picture on the right. 1.
any of various doctrines holding that religious, moral, social, or political perfection is attainable.
2.
a personal standard, attitude, or philosophy that demands perfection and rejects anything less.

He didn’t name names but these happen to include …
