Weil Gotshal: What Not to Wear

It’s been sunny for a few days (we daren’t say Summer just yet) so HR departments are dusting off dress code memos…

And here’s the first set of guidlines to emerge – sent round the offices of Weil Gotshal & Manges’ New York office (they probably don’t consider that London’s in summer just yet but we’ve some pointers for when it makes its way here): Subject: “Reminder: New York Office Guidelines on Business Casual Attire.”

Ladies notables: shorts and miniskirts are out, as are hiking/snow boots. The hillbilly hottie look might be ok for students but whatever Gok says, WGM’s partners and clients probably won’t get it.

Gents notables: turtlenecks and deck shoes are out – save it for the Sloany Pony. Loafers are acceptable though (with socks). Yay.
