Which puts it one step ahead of rivals Linklaters and Freshfields who have also unfrozen their associate lockstep.

CC is increasing pay in each band by 3%. NQs will see salaries increase from £59,000 to £61,500. One-year PQE salaries will increase from £66,600 to £68,000, and two years PQE will go from £68,700 to £72,250.

Trainee salaries will also rise slightly to £38,000 for first-years and from and to £43,000 for second-years.

Things are looking up for junior lawyers in the magic circle, how long before other firms follow suit?
