Trainee Retention Falling
Signs of life are appearing on the graduate recruitment front but that looks set to be matched by NQ fallout…
Earlier this week we noted that a number of firms were making positive moves at the bottom end. Eversheds, Field Fisher Waterhouse and LG have kicked off their gradute recruitment programmes after a period of hibernation and SJ Berwin is putting its associates back to working full time.
Meanwhile, Legal Week research shows the average retention rate at the UK’s top 30 law firms for March 2010 stood at 75%, comparing acceptances with the number of qualifiers, a drop of nearly 10% on the 83% retention rate reported in March 2009.
Got that churning feeling?
