Lawyers With Depression
There is a website for just that…
“Created For Lawyers With Depression By A Lawyer With Depression,” lawyerswithdepression.com seeks to fill the gaps in the lawyer’s predicament.
With the glory days of 2007 long gone, uncertainty for the year(s) ahead and the seasonal malaise that sets in this time of year, it’s no surprise that it has been getting plenty of attention lately.
Oh and a glitzy new drama series “The Deep End,” has just begun in the US, in which young lawyers ” inhabit an alternative legal universe, where advancement on the partner track seems measured by their perfect grooming and ability to model designer suits and trade flirtatious banter.” The NYT critique of the show leaves you in no doubt that the makers conceived this in a brighter era and that the current state of the profession is in very different territory. A reference in their review to lawyerswithdepression.com says it all really.
Lets hope Channel 5 doesn’t get wind of The Deep End.
