
Lawsuit of the Week Update: Above the Law Not Being Sued Anymore
Earlier this week one of the US’ favorite legal blogs was facing a rather large ($22m) claim brought by disgruntled law professor, Donald Marvin Jones, who was on the receiving end of some of their wit. It emerged yesterday that the claim has been voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff so the excitement is over for the time being. It emerged yesterday that the claim has been voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiff so the excitement is over for the time being. There was NO SETTLEMENT in this case. Above the Law has made no changes to our prior posts, and we have paid no money to Professor Jones. The case was dismissed by the plaintiff without anything from our side, except a letter from our lawyer.
ATL has very graciously offered the Professor Jones a guest post on their site to give his side of the story about either the lawsuit or the underlying facts. We shall see whether the professor wishes to take up the offer in due course…
