Todd Genger a 33 year old Goldman Sachs lawyer from Manhattan is accused of trying to lure an underage teen with explicit chat on the Internet. He allegedly attempted to get a 15 year old girl to travel to Westchester, NY to consumate the online affair. The 15 year old girl was not quite what he expected; she was in fact an undercover investigator posing as a teen in the chat room as part of a sting operation aimed at perverts who solicit young girls for sex.
According to the Daily News Genger who is married and has three children, was snared after a series of Internet conversations that began April 13 and ended Monday, officials said. The investigator posing as a 15-year-old made it clear "she" was underage.
He faces charges of trying to disseminate indecent material to a minor and could land up to 4 years in prison if convicted.
