
Linklaters Trainee Retention Rate at 76%
Linklaters has managed to maintain a slightly higher retention rate than Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Clifford Chance by keeping 50 of its 66 trainees due to qualify in September, a retention rate of 76%. This is down from last year when rates were over 80%. Three trainees actually resigned before the process started. Rivals Freshfields and Clifford Chance have seen rates fall to about 70% with Allen & Overy indicating that it will keep on a similar figure.
Top of the scale though is Slaughter and May which has seen a slight increase over last year, holding onto 47 of its 50 qualifiers, a 94% retention rate.

Great, the associates that got dumped must be so pleased that their sacrifice kept the stats sweet for the old firm. Those staying take note.
