We naively thought that most lawyers were fairly conservative types, the sort of folk who go on dates arranged through friends, or maybe even a bit of speed dating if one was really daring. However, we’ve had a couple of classified ads pop up on the radar recently that have altered our perception somewhat. The first was a lawyer that needed love , sort of; well that was our slightly innocent take on this advert: "Hot rich lawyer looking for gold-digging female – (28) NYC". Then there was the lawyer who sought some companionship , "Lawyer seeks Hot Tub Companion (SF)". This latest one has got us really confused:

Hi. Here’s my story:

I would have been very content if I had married my high school
sweetheart and had only her as my life-long sex partner. But she
screwed up that plan by sleeping with a friend of mine.That did not make me bitter, just very, very cautious. I’ve
had several relationships since then, of course — one short marriage and several co-habitations. But, I’m single again. So, I’m still looking for that rare combination of a woman who is happy, attractive, sexy, feminine, passionate, good kisser/lover and also honest enough to be monogamous.

I’m a lawyer (please don’t assume that means "rich" – I’m not, I work
on cases for people with little money seeking justice), decent
looking, average shape (ex-runner), single, no kids, hoping to find my last love. So, if your looking for a faithful decent guy, say hello.

(Your friends and family will approve of me. I’m not afraid to show
that I really like a woman when I do.) I’m trying this approach
because I’m not very good at the "dating game." I’m too insecure and shy to do that well. If we "hit it off" you’ll probably scoff at my
"shy" claim, because with the right woman the shyness fades quickly. I hope all of this does not make me seem like a nerd. I’m far from being a nerd. Just kind of "old fashion" when it comes to affairs of the heart.
