Whilst many associates have been facing the chop recently, some of the lucky ones have gone up in the world. Cameron McKenna and Linklaters are the latest firms to confirm their partner promotions. Camerons has made up 17 new partners to their local, or office, partner title. Linklaters has promoted 18 to partnership, with banking and corporate seeing the bulk of the movement.

It’s not all cheer in the Magic Circle however with Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy delaying their 2009 partner promotions until after they have finished their extensive restructuring plans. Dimplomatic in the circumstances we think.
