US giant, Reed Smith, has made its second round of job cuts. The firm has began a redundancy consultation which puts nine UK associates and 19 UK staff members in the firing line. Reed Smith axed 115 staff members in early December and put 11 associates and seven staff members from its London office into redundancy consultation.
The firm only recently deferred the start date of its future trainee solicitors – they made it compulsory but did provide an undisclosed cash incentive for the extension.
