Redundancy Watch: Denton Wilde Sapte

Denton Wilde Sapte has laid off 76 people including 37 fee earners after its redundancy consultation with a number of departments across its London and Milton Keynes offices. It is understood that half of the redundancies were volunteered by staff members. It is understood that half of the redundancies were volunteered by staff members. However, three members of staff got lucky and retained their jobs after agreeing to a mixture of sabbaticals, pay cuts and alternative working roles.
The real estate department was hardest hit but banking, corporate, energy, employment and pensions were also affected by the layoffs. As a modicum of consolation, staff will be offered an "enhanced" redundancy package, whatever that entails, as well as assistance in training costs and career counselling…
