The threat of unemployment seems to be gaining momentum across the board at the moment and the legal sector is no exception. Macfarlanes announced yesterday that it has launched a redundancy consultation. Up to 14 staff are likley to be affected.
Seven fee earners in the real estate practice look like they will be axed and another seven support staff are expected to be made redundant in corporate and real estate.

2 bankers are the head of the animal that walked us into this mess. Lawyers have done well out of the good times but remember it is the junior ones getting sliced right now, many who will still be paying down debts etc so lucky how?
