Bob Singh, 36, thought the policeman who visited his shop in Port Talbot was having a laugh, reported the Daily Mail.

The officer told him there had been a complaint about the jokes he printed on leaflets advertising his corner shop’s Christmas offers and that he could face prosecution for a public order offence.  Mr Singh was forced to withdraw his leaflets which included such gems as: "How do you measure a blonde’s intelligence? Stick a tyre gauge in her ear!"

Other than the criminal lack of humour, it seems like a bit of a sledgehammer and nut situation to us…

Mr Singh has put a sign in the shop window apologising to anyone who may have been offended by the leaflet and adding: "In future we will try to be more politically correct."
