Wedlake Bell has launched a redundancy consultation affecting lawyers and support staff.

The cuts have affected staff in the commercial property department and other practice areas. It is understood that the staff have received enhanced redundancy packages and outplacement services.

He added: “It is obviously regrettable that we have had to make these redundancies and we will be looking to offer all the support that we can to departing colleagues.”

Wedlake Bell is the latest in a long line of firms to cut staff recently, a flick through our archives will reveal a painfully growing trend in the last couple of months.
